2. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. Vercel processes technically necessary connection data such as IP address, time, requested URL, referrer, browser and operating system to provide the website securely and reliably under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The regular availability of runtime logs depends on the Vercel plan and, according to Vercel's current documentation, is limited to no more than 30 days. Data affected by a specific security incident may be kept until the incident has been resolved. Our application does not write names, contact details or message text to its own logs. A data processing agreement is in place.

3. Contact and application inquiries

Our forms are exclusively for non-binding inquiries. We process your name, at least one contact channel chosen by you (email or phone), your message and any application information you provide. The legal bases are Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual steps and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for other inquiries. Vercel and Microsoft 365/Microsoft Graph are used for transmission and internal notification under data processing agreements.

Contact inquiries are deleted no later than 24 months after completion unless legal retention duties or a subsequent contract require longer storage. Application data is deleted no later than six months after the application process ends. Longer inclusion in a talent pool requires separate voluntary consent.

4. Aptitude test for apprenticeships (Google Forms)

Our apprenticeship page offers a voluntary aptitude test. This test is not provided by us but through Google Forms, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. You leave our website and are forwarded to Google only when you actively click the aptitude-test button. Simply visiting our page transfers no data to Google.

When you take part, Google processes the answers you enter as well as technical connection data, in particular your IP address, browser and device data. We receive the test results and the contact details you provide in order to assess your application. The legal bases are Article 6(1)(b) GDPR in conjunction with section 26(1) BDSG for carrying out the application procedure, and your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you give by taking part voluntarily. Participation is optional; you can also apply to us without taking the aptitude test.

Google may also process data outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers rely on the adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We delete your test results no later than six months after the application procedure has concluded. Google's information: policies.google.com/privacy.

5. Form abuse protection

After you actively start using a form, Cloudflare Turnstile from Cloudflare, Inc. is loaded to detect automated submissions. It processes technical connection, browser and interaction data. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in website security under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. A data processing agreement is in place.

6. External videos and maps

YouTube videos and Google Maps are not loaded automatically. A connection to Google Ireland Limited is made only after you allow the relevant service. The legal bases are your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and section 25(1) TDDDG. Your choice is stored locally in your browser as wamocon-consent-youtube or wamocon-consent-google-maps until you use “Reset external-content choices” in the footer or clear browser storage.

Team videos on the careers page are requested from GitHub, Inc. only when you start playback. Your IP address is then technically transmitted to GitHub. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR together with the playback expressly requested by you.

7. Cookies, local storage and analytics

WAMOCON does not use Google Analytics, advertising trackers or a newsletter on this website. The site stores only your voluntary external-content choices locally in the browser. Cloudflare Turnstile may use technically necessary storage when you actively use a form.

8. Recipients and international transfers

Recipients may include Vercel, Microsoft and, when a form is used, Cloudflare. Google/YouTube is contacted only after consent; GitHub is contacted only after an externally hosted video is started. Google Ireland Limited also receives data if you voluntarily take the aptitude test via Google Forms. Processing outside the EEA relies on an adequacy decision such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Retention and your rights

We retain personal data only for as long as the purpose or legal retention duties require. You have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection under the GDPR. Consent can be withdrawn at any time for the future. You may lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, in particular the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information at datenschutz.hessen.de.

10. Security and updates

We protect the website with TLS encryption and appropriate technical and organisational measures. This policy is updated when functions, processors or legal requirements change.
